Technical Trainer (Aerospace)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite in an office and manufacturing environment

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop, deliver, coordinate, and maintain technical training curricula for manufacturing, engineering, quality, and support functions.
• Apply adult-learning and instructional-design methods to create learning aids, activities, examinations, and hands-on practicums.
• Analyze requirements, operational problems, safety standards, and performance trends to recommend learning solutions.
• Coordinate with hirify.global and Lockheed Martin subject-matter experts to develop technical training materials and manuals.
• Maintain training, qualification, certification, and retraining records and schedules.
• Investigate technical problem areas, document solutions, and coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, managers, contractors, and customers.

Requirements

• Experience developing and delivering formal training in EH&S, quality, manufacturing, or related technical subjects.
• Broad knowledge of aerospace and electronics work practices, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings.
• Experience using a knowledge or learning management system.
• Ability to become an in-house certified trainer for IPC-610/620 and J-STD-001.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance are required.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently in a diverse, dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Current IPC-610/620 or J-STD-001 trainer certification.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 training and qualification standards.
• Manufacturing or engineering degree and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on aerospace assembly training experience, including staking, gasket installation, and torquing.
