Lead Technical Trainer (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $101,000–$142,000 USD per year base salary, plus potential equity.

What you will do

• Own the strategy and day-to-day execution of technical training programs.
• Enable technicians, operators, and cross-functional teams to build, test, and sustain unmanned systems safely and at scale.
• Translate engineering intent into clear, repeatable training programs.
• Certify readiness across production and new product introduction lines.
• Partner with engineering, production, and other cross-functional teams to improve training impact.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Learning & Development, technical training, or a similar field.
• Experience leading people and managing training programs from concept through completion.
• Strong facilitation, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to train both technicians and leaders while managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred.
• Data-driven approach focused on training impact and measurable outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with technician certification programs, training matrices, or LMS platforms for manufacturing teams.
• Background in aerospace, drones, robotics, electronics, defense manufacturing, or other high-reliability hardware environments.
• Hands-on experience with production test, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, or quality processes in fast-ramp or NPI environments.
• Familiarity with Lean, 5S, standard work, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement methods.
• Experience training across multiple shifts, products, or sites while maintaining consistent, audit-ready records.
