Software Engineer, Lead

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States

Base salary: $142,000–$189,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead development of the in-house Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and tools integrated with ERP systems.
• Build full-stack applications using relational databases, REST APIs, machine-to-machine services, and web-based user interfaces.
• Review and approve code, merge requests, architecture designs, and software requirements.
• Define product roadmaps, manage backlogs and releases, and lead Scrum activities and Agile workflows.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Technicians, Operations, and other stakeholders to refine requirements, deliver training, and support deployed products.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and manage a small technical team while planning workloads and allocating resources.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience and proven team leadership experience.
• Technical expertise with HTML/CSS, TypeScript, and Angular, React, Vue, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency with SQL, REST APIs, Node, C#/.NET, and Linux development environments.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• For work in U.S. offices, eligibility under U.S. space technology export regulations is required, such as U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or the required government authorizations.

Nice to have

• User interface and database application development experience.
• RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, or Elasticsearch experience.
• Familiarity with aerospace, launch operations, ERP, quality management systems, or product lifecycle management.
• Program management experience.
