Senior Software Engineer (iOS)

Location: US - Remote Eligible; occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required. Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

Salary: $196,000–$227,000 USD base pay annually, with potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

What you will do

• Design and build iOS account and commerce features using modern declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture.
• Partner with product and design to create polished, accessible iOS experiences.
• Collaborate with backend, Android, and web engineers to maintain consistent feature behavior and data across platforms.
• Own complex features from technical design through launch and iteration.
• Write tested, maintainable code and participate in code and design reviews.
• Mentor engineers and troubleshoot iOS performance and reliability issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional iOS engineering experience, including work on a large-scale production consumer app.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS architecture, including SwiftUI or similar declarative UI, unidirectional state management, and dependency injection.
• Experience collaborating with backend and Android or web engineers on APIs and cross-platform experiences.
• Experience owning complex features end-to-end and contributing to technical decisions.
• Understanding of mobile performance, accessibility, and release/CI practices.
• Must reside in an eligible US state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
