Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS)

Location: Remote within Canada, with a hybrid option requiring two days per week in the Vancouver office

Salary: CAD 199,000–244,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Drive the development and implementation of complex mobile product features that improve customer experience and business outcomes.
• Architect, lead, and optimize mobile infrastructure for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define and evolve efficient, well-documented APIs for mobile-to-server communication.
• Establish engineering best practices for code quality, system design, and operational excellence.
• Lead strategic technical initiatives, provide architectural guidance, and solve complex engineering challenges.
• Develop testing strategies and analyze performance indicators to ensure product quality and guide future enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience, including substantial mobile development experience and leadership of complex projects.
• Expert proficiency in Swift and deep knowledge of modern iOS technologies, including Combine, Swift Concurrency, and SwiftUI.
• Advanced understanding of iOS architectures such as MVVM, MVP, and VIPER, including their trade-offs.
• Experience architecting scalable, maintainable mobile solutions and mentoring other engineers.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or LLMs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Android development and cross-platform technologies.
• Participation in the iOS development community through open-source contributions or conference presentations.
