Director of Foundry Engineering (FPGA)

Salary: $209,500–$303,250 USD per year; incentive opportunities are also available.

What you will do

• Lead foundry engagement, advanced process technology enablement, and manufacturing execution for FPGA and programmable device portfolios.
• Oversee silicon manufacturing from first silicon through high-volume production, including yield improvement, defect reduction, parametric optimization, and reliability validation.
• Own technical relationships with external foundry partners across advanced and mature process nodes.
• Lead process technology selection, qualification, risk assessment, PDK readiness, and design-to-manufacturing alignment.
• Collaborate with design engineering, DTCO, product line management, supply chain, operations, product engineering, and quality teams.
• Build and mentor a high-performing foundry engineering organization while managing capacity, cost, sourcing, and long-term supply risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, foundry engineering, or process technology.
• Direct experience working with major semiconductor foundries.
• Experience with advanced CMOS process nodes, yield engineering, and reliability.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional technical programs.
• Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting logic, SoC, or FPGA products.
• People management experience at senior manager or director level.
• Familiarity with multi-foundry or foundry-agnostic manufacturing strategies.
