What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for optical analog and mixed-signal IC design.
• Oversee the design of high-speed transimpedance amplifiers and optical modulator drivers in SiGe BiCMOS and advanced FinFET technologies.
• Define broadband analog circuits and interface specifications between DSP and optical components.
• Work with systems, DSP, silicon photonics, customer, and cross-functional teams.
• Guide post-silicon validation, qualification, mass production transition, and customer support.
• Manage team performance, design methodologies, delivery quality, training, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 10–12 years, or a PhD with 8–10 years.
• Experience managing analog designers working on high-speed broadband designs and multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience as a chip lead, successful silicon delivery, and taking chips through mass production.
• Strong knowledge of transistor-level analog design, 10GHz+ RF and high-speed broadband design, device physics, and control-loop stability.
• Experience with EDA CAD tools, analog custom layout oversight, SiGe BiCMOS and/or advanced FinFET nodes.
• Strong communication, presentation, documentation, analytical, strategic planning, and team leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with optical transimpedance amplifiers or optical modulator drivers.
• Experience with AGC loops, precision analog circuits, CTLE design, package and system integration.
