Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Warsaw or Munich

What you will do

• Own integration quality end-to-end, ensuring reliability across thousands of third-party APIs.
• Build and maintain a robust tool gateway for routing, authentication, and rate-limiting.
• Manage persistent, isolated, and secure Linux sandboxes for executing model-written code.
• Design and scale the multi-tenant data layer to ensure durability and performance.
• Collaborate directly with founders in a high-trust, low-process environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating distributed systems in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, containerization, and secure code execution.
• Experience wrangling complex integration plumbing including OAuth, webhooks, and third-party APIs.
• Strong understanding of multi-tenancy, system durability, and cost-efficient design.
• Ability to work onsite in Warsaw or Munich.

Nice to have

• Background in infrastructure, platform, or developer-tools engineering.
• Experience with agentic engineering workflows.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure.
• Early-stage startup or founder experience.
