Senior Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Develop and serve new platforms for AI solutions while improving existing Snowflake functionalities.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and business teams to shape product development strategy.
• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs.
• Mentor less experienced engineers, researchers, and product managers.
• Solve complex, ambiguous problems using creative and experimental approaches.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience writing production-quality scalable code in Go, Java, C++, or Python.
• BSc in a technical field such as AI/ML, CS, Physics, or Math.
• Professional experience building SDKs and web service APIs (REST/gRPC).
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices including testing, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts to leadership and work independently.

Nice to have

• MSc or PhD in a technical field.
• Hands-on experience in MLOps and deploying ML models.
