Backend Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Berlin, Germany; on-site. Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.

Salary: €100,000–€150,000 annual base salary plus equity and benefits.

hirify.global is building a regulated programmable bank combining a national bank charter with its proprietary Marble core banking system, with a focus on digital assets, AI, and modern money movement.

What you will do

• Build and evolve core banking systems across central bank and blockchain infrastructure.
• Own major backend projects end to end, from scoping and system design through delivery.
• Translate complex financial problems into clean, reliable, scalable code.
• Make technical tradeoffs and influence data modeling, edge-case handling, and system architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and clients to deliver banking functionality.
• Increase ownership rapidly and help solve the team's hardest technical problems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a backend focus.
• 2+ years of experience in early-stage or small startup environments.
• Strong software engineering skills, with clean, correct, maintainable code.
• Ability to own problems independently, make technical decisions, and deliver projects end to end.
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
