Robotics Framework Engineer II (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain shared robotics software frameworks, including real-time and non-real-time interfaces, component lifecycle standards, and inter-process communication conventions.
• Own CI/CD pipelines for embedded and robotics code across simulation and hardware targets.
• Develop software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure for continuous integration and system verification.
• Build reusable robotics toolkits, including kinematics libraries, coordinate-frame utilities, and trajectory mathematics.
• Establish code quality standards, branching strategies, release processes, architecture decision records, and developer documentation.
• Collaborate with robotics and embedded software engineers and maintain tooling that supports onboarding and independent contribution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in robotics or embedded systems.
• Proficiency in modern C++17 or newer and Python.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of robotic arm kinematics and foundational robotics mathematics.
• Experience with ROS or ROS2, Gazebo or MuJoCo, and production-quality, documented, testable code.

Nice to have

• Experience developing shared libraries or SDKs used by multiple engineering teams.
• Familiarity with real-time systems, EtherCAT or similar fieldbus protocols, and cross-compilation toolchains for embedded targets.
• Experience with developer tooling, onboarding infrastructure, software architecture documentation, safety-critical development, or formal verification.
