Senior Sourcing & Procurement Manager (Individual Contributor) (Aerospace)

Location: San Carlos, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $130,000–$200,000 annually

Building satellite infrastructure for the orbital economy, including space-based energy transmission, on-orbit computing, and secure high-bandwidth optical data systems.

What you will do

• Execute purchase orders, negotiate with suppliers, mitigate risks, and manage vendors for critical hardware programs.
• Build and maintain data-driven sourcing tools and dashboards covering supplier performance, spend, and delivery accuracy.
• Drive cost-efficiency initiatives through supplier collaboration and manufacturing or process improvements.
• Manage procurement workflows, including pre-award reviews and compliant purchasing packages.
• Automate procurement processes and reduce manual workflows.
• Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Operations to support hardware development and production.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR and EAR regulations: a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
• Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain operations in a technical or engineering environment.
• Proficiency with data tools such as SQL, Python, or BI tools for analyzing and visualizing supply chain metrics.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, MES, or similar enterprise systems.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendors, contracts, or statements of work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience managing high-value spend portfolios or vendor-owned inventory agreements.
• Experience with procurement automation or process optimization.
• Background in aerospace, space, or other frontier technology industries.
