TL;DR
Aircraft Maintenance & Systems Technician (Aerospace): Fabricating, installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting carrier aircraft systems and structures with an accent on fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, engine, and airframe components. Focus on line maintenance, preflight and postflight operations, resolving mechanical issues, and supporting rapid aerospace R&D test cycles.
Location: Mojave, California, United States; onsite. Must be able to work second shift and weekends as needed.
Salary: $31.00–$42.00 per hour for Level I or $38.50–$48.50 per hour for Level II, based on experience and leveling.

What you will do
- Fabricate, install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify carrier aircraft systems and components.
- Work on fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, engine, airframe, and aircraft structural systems.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, preflight, postflight, launch, and recovery operations.
- Inspect aircraft systems, components, and structures to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Record completed maintenance in the Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log and operate required tools and ground-handling equipment.
- Partner with Engineering during the design, development, and test lifecycle of aerospace R&D projects.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation, and maintenance for Level I; 5–10 years for Level II.
- Experience with aircraft line maintenance, including preflight, postflight, launch, and recovery operations.
- Experience maintaining or modifying large aircraft structures or subsystems, including sheet metal work, bending, riveting, fasteners, metal treatment, or large LRU replacement.
- Strong understanding of FOD control and tool control, with careful attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Ability to work independently, handle items weighing up to 50 lbs., work at heights above 25 feet or in confined spaces, and maintain a flexible schedule.
