Electrical Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Playa Vista, Los Angeles, California; in-person five days per week

Salary: $30–$45 per hour, non-exempt and overtime eligible, based on experience

What you will do

• Fabricate, install, and inspect wiring harnesses and electrical systems for return vehicles.
• Support avionics integration through connector mating, continuity checks, and cable routing.
• Build flight hardware from electrical schematics and detailed work instructions.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during integration and testing.
• Set up instrumentation for test campaigns and document completed work and discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in a machine-shop environment.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly, wiring harness fabrication, or systems integration.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Experience with crimping, soldering, cable and harness fabrication, and basic test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to work on your feet in a factory or laboratory environment with strong attention to quality and safety.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics or electrical fields.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 or J-STD certification.
• Experience with aerospace or automotive wiring harnesses, clean rooms, or ESD-sensitive procedures.
• Experience with aerospace or DOD standards and material selection.
