A&P Mechanic (Aerospace)

Location: Middle River, Maryland, United States; onsite at the Space Structures Complex

Base pay range: $30–$55 USD per hour, with level determined by knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

hirify.global builds rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems, including the reusable Neutron launch vehicle.

What you will do

• Build carbon-fiber structures, mechanical structures, and related launch vehicle components.
• Integrate mechanical hardware for Neutron launch vehicles.
• Support refurbishment of previously flown launch vehicles.
• Use hand, power, pneumatic, and inspection tools while following proper PPE requirements.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization while working with a cross-functional team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• A&P certification or relevant military experience in fixed- or rotor-wing maintenance is required.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, technical repair, mechanical maintenance, or similar work in a highly regulated manufacturing or maintenance environment.
• Mechanic II requires 2+ years of relevant experience; Mechanic III requires 5+ years; Senior A&P Mechanic requires 8+ years.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire 8+ hour shift, work at heights and in confined or awkward spaces, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
• U.S. ITAR eligibility is required for U.S. office roles: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience in the new space or aerospace industry.
• Depot-level aircraft mechanic experience.
• Military field experience.
• Experience with scheduled maintenance at the C&D check level.
