Strategic Sourcing Manager (Rare-Earth Manufacturing)

Location: Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, United States. Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical raw materials, manufacturing equipment, production services, and strategic suppliers.
• Identify, qualify, negotiate with, and manage domestic and international suppliers and strategic supplier partnerships.
• Lead purchase agreement, long-term supply agreement, pricing, and commercial negotiations.
• Build supply-chain resilience through supplier diversification, inventory optimization, risk mitigation, and business continuity planning.
• Monitor commodity markets, rare-earth pricing, geopolitical developments, tariffs, trade restrictions, and regulatory changes.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Program Management, Logistics, and Trade Compliance on product introductions, supplier qualification, production readiness, transportation, customs, and international supplier operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier development, or related professional work.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of supplier risk management, contract negotiation, commodity management, and total cost of ownership.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, procurement, supplier relationship management, and supply planning systems.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
