Global Category Manager - Indirect & Subcontractor Operations (Manufacturing)

Annual base salary: $91,700–$126,100, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and continuously improve multi-year category strategies for indirect spend, including IT, professional services, MRO, facilities, marketing, HR services, and travel.
• Lead sourcing and commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers and subcontractors, including service agreements, pricing frameworks, SLAs, and renewals.
• Manage replenishment of production spares and consumables across production pillars.
• Build a preferred supplier panel, qualify providers, and manage performance against cost, quality, and delivery KPIs.
• Develop should-cost models, total cost of ownership analyses, savings roadmaps, and category risk registers.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, HR, Operations, and executive leadership while expanding the indirect procurement function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience, including at least 4 years managing indirect or subcontractor categories.
• Experience developing and executing multi-year category strategies across complex, cross-functional spend portfolios.
• Experience leading high-value negotiations with professional services, IT, or MRO suppliers.
• Strong financial acumen in should-cost modeling, total cost of ownership analysis, and savings tracking.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-growth manufacturing, defense, or advanced technology environments.
• Familiarity with Epicor, SAP, or similar ERP systems and spend analytics platforms.
• Experience building an indirect procurement function from an early stage.
• CPSM, CPM, or equivalent certification.
• Experience managing IT software and SaaS vendor agreements or exposure to ITAR-regulated and government-contract supply chains.
