Global Category Manager - Construction & Facilities

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States

Annual base salary: $113,600–$156,200, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Develop multi-year category strategies for construction, facilities infrastructure, MEP services, utilities, and site and civil work.
• Lead sourcing, commercial negotiations, contract execution, and closeout for general contractors, subcontractors, utilities providers, and facilities vendors.
• Partner with Facilities and Engineering to scope capital projects, define bid packages, and run competitive sourcing events.
• Manage preferred suppliers, qualify contractors, and monitor cost, schedule, safety, and quality KPIs.
• Build should-cost models, review estimates, manage risk registers, and identify cost and schedule threats.
• Support the V2 facility ramp, future capacity expansion sites, permitting, utility incentives, and annual savings reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 10+ years of procurement, project management, or construction management experience, including at least 5 years managing construction or facilities categories.
• Experience sourcing and contracting major capital construction projects with scopes of $10M or more in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of AIA, NEC, lump-sum, and GMP contract structures, MEP systems, and utility procurement.
• Strong financial, negotiation, stakeholder management, and contractor oversight skills.
• Ability to manage concurrent capital projects and make independent decisions in a high-growth environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, or advanced production environments.
• Knowledge of energy procurement, utility rate negotiation, sustainability programs, site selection, economic development incentives, or permitting.
• CPSM, CPM, CCM, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Epicor, Procore, or similar ERP and capital project management systems.
• Exposure to ITAR, DFARS, or other defense and government-regulated facility requirements.
