Company

hirify.global is a stealth-mode aerospace and defense startup developing high-reliability products, with a founding team from SpaceX, Anduril, and Lockheed Martin.

What you will do

  • Build, test, and troubleshoot early-stage electronic prototypes from preliminary schematics and evolving bills of materials.
  • Support volume production by validating assembly and test procedures, resolving build issues, and creating continuous-improvement feedback loops.
  • Perform fine-pitch crimping, cable and miniature connector assembly, PCB rework, and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Operate and maintain oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, microscopes, and specialized rework equipment.
  • Provide design-for-manufacturability and design-for-testability feedback to engineering teams.
  • Document assembly methods, test results, and rework actions; mentor junior technicians and support production training.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electronics prototyping, rework, and production support.
  • Experience with fine-pitch crimping, miniature connector assembly, and fine-pitch surface-mount rework, including 0201, QFN, BGA, and micro-BGA packages.
  • Ability to interpret incomplete schematics, early-stage bills of materials, and evolving designs while independently resolving documentation gaps.
  • Strong understanding of electronics assembly, ESD procedures, IPC standards, and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience using CAD viewers such as Altium or OrCAD to review schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Familiarity with engineering change control and product lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, automotive, or medical technology.

Culture & Benefits

  • Precision-focused lab work under magnification, with ESD-safe attire and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Work across multiple development and production projects.
  • Healthcare, vision, dental, 401(k), lunch, and equity are provided.
