Avionics R&D Technician (III or Senior)

Location: Fully onsite in Long Beach, California, United States

Salary: Technician III — $36–$50.50/hour; Senior Technician — $43.50–$60/hour, plus overtime eligibility.

What you will do

• Assemble and test spacecraft harnesses according to engineering drawings and instructions.
• Own spacecraft product builds from individual piece parts through complete assemblies.
• Assist with setting up and operating thermal vacuum chambers and vibration testing facilities.
• Maintain cleanroom protocols and ensure compliant processes across personnel.
• Execute engineering-directed anomaly dispositions.

Requirements

• Technical degree or relevant certification.
• At least 2 years of professional experience assembling spacecraft or space products.
• Strong spacecraft harness fabrication, rework, and installation experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
• Experience with ESD, FOD control, cleanroom operations, torquing, and staking.
• Ability to work onsite in Long Beach and meet U.S. Government ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent residency, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
