Senior Avionics Specialist

What you will do

• Perform component-level and board-level analysis and troubleshooting of avionics and electronic systems.
• Conduct Fourier analysis, FFT/spectral analysis, and signal integrity evaluations using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
• Validate electronic components, circuits, and assemblies for performance, reliability, and specification compliance.
• Deliver technical findings, root cause analyses, test results, and recommendations to design engineers.
• Review component selections and design changes before formal engineering handoff.
• Support root cause corrective action processes and collaborate with maintenance and design teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing avionics or electronic systems, with strong board-level and component-level diagnostic experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in board-level Fourier analysis and advanced signal analysis techniques.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and related diagnostic equipment.
• Understanding of analog and digital circuits, RF systems, power electronics, and avionics architectures.
• Ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
• U.S. work authorization is required; Mach participates in E-Verify, and export-controlled work may require authorization without export-license sponsorship.

Nice to have

• AS or AAS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Avionics or electrical laboratory testing experience.
• Experience supporting maintenance and engineering/design teams in an aviation environment.
• Experience with aircraft modification or STC projects.
