Strategic Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales/Implementation) (EdTech)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; up to 25% travel for client meetings, industry events, and occasional team gatherings.

What you will do

• Lead pre-sales technical engagements, product demonstrations, solution design, and executive-level discussions for large school district accounts.
• Design and deliver proofs of concept within customers’ existing environments.
• Own implementation and configuration from pre-sale through go-live, including software deployment across Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iOS, and Android devices.
• Deploy and manage software using GPO, SCCM, Intune, Jamf, or equivalent tools.
• Train district IT staff and administrators, maintain proactive customer communication, and drive product adoption.
• Act as the technical escalation point and collaborate with Sales, Support, Product, and Engineering on complex issues and customer needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, pre-sales technical, or senior IT roles, ideally in SaaS or EdTech.
• Hands-on experience managing end-user software across Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iOS, and Android platforms.
• Deep knowledge of endpoint management and deployment tools including GPO, SCCM, Intune, and Jamf.
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge covering DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VLANs, proxies, connectivity, and filtering troubleshooting.
• Understanding of web content filtering, policy management, SSL inspection, category-based controls, and user provisioning through Azure Active Directory or Google Admin Console.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and lead discussions with CIOs, CTOs, and other senior stakeholders.
