Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States

Base salary: $225,000–$250,000 annually, plus performance bonuses and equity options.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing operations, scaling production volume while improving efficiency, cost, safety, and execution.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Lead, mentor, and develop manufacturing and production teams.
• Scale the established Quality Management System and guide quality control across the product lifecycle.
• Provide senior leadership for root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee strategic sourcing, supplier and contract manufacturer relationships, logistics, inventory, procurement, and supply chain risk mitigation.

Requirements

• 15+ years of operations management experience in hardware, deep tech, or complex electronics, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Hands-on leadership across production, quality, and supply chain functions.
• Experience scaling manufacturing operations and supply chains for complex hardware systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
• Strong ability to use data and KPIs for operational excellence and strategic decision-making.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in quantum computing, scientific instrumentation, or semiconductors.
• Familiarity with complex electromechanical assembly and Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS.
• Experience leading operations in a high-growth, venture-backed startup.
