Vice President, Production (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid, with four days per week in office at the Denver, Colorado headquarters or the Long Beach, California facility; U.S. work authorization is required for ITAR compliance.

Salary: $300,000–$350,000 base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing, assembly, integration, production testing, and prototyping across multiple product lines.
• Develop the strategy and operational systems needed to scale from development programs to repeatable, high-rate manufacturing.
• Build vertically integrated capabilities for propulsion, fluid systems, PCBAs, FlatSats, RF systems, and integrated space vehicles.
• Deploy production tooling, EGSE, fixtures, automated test systems, dashboards, and data-driven performance management.
• Drive lean manufacturing, design-for-manufacturing, design-for-test, quality improvement, throughput growth, and cost reduction.
• Build multidisciplinary production teams and coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Facilities, Security, and Program Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience leading manufacturing, production, integration, or operations organizations in complex technical industries.
• Experience scaling production from development into repeatable manufacturing and operating complex electromechanical or aerospace production environments.
• Experience establishing vertically integrated manufacturing or test capabilities, including propulsion, fluid systems, PCBAs, RF systems, or integrated vehicles.
• Demonstrated success with operational excellence, quality improvement, cost reduction, KPIs, production systems, environmental testing, and test automation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance and satisfy U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, launch vehicles, missile defense, or high-rate hardware manufacturing.
• Propulsion manufacturing and testing experience, including additive manufacturing or 3D printing.
• Experience with spacecraft integration, environmental test campaigns, classified manufacturing, MES, or production data systems.
• Experience implementing lean or continuous improvement frameworks and building operations organizations during rapid growth.
