Vice President of Manufacturing

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site, with work in office and manufacturing environments. Travel to manufacturing sites and supplier locations may be required.

Salary: $275,000–$375,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Oversee manufacturing operations, production results, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Develop operational strategies, long-term plans, budgets, metrics, and risk-mitigation programs.
• Implement lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead and develop a high-performing operations team across diverse functional areas and multiple shifts.
• Integrate new technologies and advanced manufacturing techniques in collaboration with R&D and IT.
• Manage quality assurance, regulatory compliance, operational expenses, and performance reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Senior operational leadership experience in tough-tech manufacturing, including plant operations, Manufacturing Centers of Excellence, and large multi-shift teams.
• Deep expertise in manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems, including scaling best practices across plants.
• Experience leading high-performance teams, strategic planning, process engineering, technology integration, and global or multi-plant continuous improvement programs.
• Strong financial acumen, budget management experience, and exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to work in industrial environments containing heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics.
