Inventory Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, document, stock, track, pick, package, and ship materials supporting vehicle and propulsion development.
• Maintain inventory bins, racks, labeling systems, and accurate material records.
• Perform cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and traceability.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Coordinate material transfers between fabrication, assembly, and test teams to support production flow.
• Implement process improvements that increase safety, accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in inventory, logistics, or warehouse operations in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense.
• Experience with inventory management systems, ERP/MRP platforms, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Forklift certification or the ability to become certified after hiring.
• Basic proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work extended hours or weekends when needed.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control rules or be eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting engineering development, R&D, or prototype build programs.
• Familiarity with aerospace material handling, ESD, cleanroom, and hazardous-material protocols.
• Knowledge of tooling and fixturing logistics, shipping logistics, import/export compliance, or freight coordination.
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, or similar inventory systems.
• Experience implementing 5S or lean warehouse practices and coordinating across engineering, procurement, and production.
