TL;DR
Material Associate (Aerospace): Managing aerospace materials, inventory, warehouse operations, and production supply for flight hardware with an accent on accurate kitting, regulated material handling, and inventory control. Focus on operating WMS/ERP systems, processing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining lineside stock, and improving scalable supply chain processes.

Location: Long Beach, California; additional requirements state that successful candidates must be located near Denver or Colorado Springs. The role is on-site, with some work required at the facility.

Base salary: $25–$32 per hour, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

  • Pick and kit aerospace parts and components from inventory for manufacturing.
  • Record inbound receipts in warehouse management or ERP systems and maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and audits.
  • Operate pallet jacks, reach trucks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment safely.
  • Process outbound freight shipments, including loading and shipping documentation.
  • Manage lineside production inventory and ensure manufacturing stock levels are maintained.
  • Support warehouse safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in warehousing, supply chain, logistics, or material handling.
  • Understanding of HAZMAT shipping, storage, and handling.
  • Ability to read Bills of Materials, part numbers, and product specifications.
  • Computer proficiency with WMS, ERP, or inventory management software.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods. Must be eligible under U.S. ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or person eligible to obtain the required authorization.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing industry.
