General Counsel (AI)

What you will do

• Own the full legal surface as the first in-house counsel, covering corporate, commercial, employment, IP, data privacy, and regulatory matters.
• Partner with finance and leadership on compute, infrastructure, multi-cloud, and hyperscaler commitments.
• Lead customer, enterprise, vendor, partnership, and commercial contracts while creating templates and playbooks.
• Manage employment, corporate, governance, entity, financing, and board matters across the US, UK, and Switzerland.
• Determine the appropriate use of external counsel and manage legal vendors for cost and speed.
• Build legal processes, tooling, a knowledge base, and US employment compliance operations.

Requirements

• Generalist legal profile with deep expertise in AI, autonomous vehicles, robotics, AI infrastructure, or other deep-tech fields.
• Experience supporting complex R&D partnerships and long negotiation processes with technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Experience with compute, infrastructure, or complex commercial transactions.
• Background at a top-tier law firm or in-house at a frontier or deep-tech company; in-house experience is not required.
• International outlook and cross-border legal experience.
• Ability to build a legal function from zero and advise leadership with high autonomy.
