Process Development Engineer (Manufacturing Engineering)

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop innovative equipment and manufacturing processes for electric aircraft products.
• Research, prototype, test, and validate advanced manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with product design and materials and processes teams on concurrent process development.
• Optimize tooling, equipment, inspection, quality, and test processes while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Support commissioning and validation of tooling and equipment, including machining and welding work as needed.
• Create maintenance, troubleshooting, qualification, and calibration documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or another engineering discipline with a manufacturing focus.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software; SolidWorks or CATIA preferred.
• Experience developing advanced manufacturing processes such as additive manufacturing, automation, vision systems, or laser welding.
• Ability to remain active on foot for an 8-hour shift, lift 25 pounds, and work at a computer for several hours.
• Strong organization, discipline, teamwork, communication skills, and curiosity about emerging manufacturing technologies.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing tooling design experience.
• Experience designing and implementing industrial automation solutions.
• Understanding of material properties and their applications.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing proficiency, especially ASME Y14.5.
