Manager, Accounting

Location: New York, NY; hybrid work with three days per week in the office

Salary: $128,000–$135,500 per year

What you will do

• Execute assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations, tracking and resolving reconciling items.
• Perform general ledger activities, account maintenance, transaction analysis, and financial data validation.
• Apply U.S. GAAP to routine and non-routine transactions and document accounting conclusions.
• Support internal and external audits with reconciliations, schedules, and requested documentation.
• Improve accounting workflows, recurring processes, systems, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA license required.
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, operational accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and close management.
• Experience with NetSuite, Floqast, advanced Microsoft Excel, and large datasets; coding or SQL skills are highly preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial data, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally.
