Location: Torrance, California, United States. ITAR requirements restrict eligibility to U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or candidates eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations. Travel up to 25% may be required.
Salary: $139,300–$160,000 USD for roles hired in California.

What you will do
- Lead quality planning and execution for new product introduction from concept through production ramp.
- Establish design reviews, process readiness reviews, production readiness gates, and control plans for engineering-to-manufacturing transfer.
- Drive Design for Quality, risk management, requirements traceability, verification and validation, and critical-to-quality criteria.
- Develop product reliability strategies, test plans, metrics, and targets; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Build scalable quality processes aligned with AS9100 and customer requirements, including dashboards, trend analysis, and FRACAS.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, program teams, suppliers, customers, and auditors while mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of quality, manufacturing, or engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated and complex hardware environments.
- Experience with NPI, production transition, system integration and testing, root cause analysis, failure analysis, and reliability testing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, data analysis, and issue or defect management systems.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, resolving high-visibility quality issues, and driving continual improvement.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements for U.S. persons or obtain the required U.S. authorizations.
Nice to have
- Advanced engineering degree or certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Auditor, or Six Sigma.
- Experience with Agile development, reliability modeling, statistical analysis, MIL-STD testing, and environmental qualification.
- Experience supporting FRACAS, reliability growth programs, Oracle ERP, or QMS software implementation.
- Strong understanding of electronics, complex assemblies, system integration, and testing.
