Salary: $126,700–$150,200 base pay per year

What you will do

  • Ensure powertrain components, assemblies, and systems meet design, quality, safety, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Support transitions from design to production and provide technical guidance on quality-related issues.
  • Develop and deploy APQP tools, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, PPAPs, MSA, DFMEA, DFM, and SPC.
  • Establish inspection plans and conduct or support First Article Inspections in compliance with SAE AS9102.
  • Lead Material Review Board dispositions, root cause analysis, CAPA, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement for powertrain manufacturing processes.
  • Develop quality reports, KPIs, training materials, and support FAA and company conformity inspection and certification activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or another relevant Engineering discipline, with 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience creating and approving First Article Inspections and using inspection tools.
  • Experience with MES systems and electronic inspection plans.
  • Experience working in aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with design reviews and verifying dimensional requirements using GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, AS9145, and AS6500 quality standards.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP, CAD, PLM, ERP software, Sigma, or Microsoft BI dashboards.
  • Experience with FAA conformity inspection, designees, aircraft or composite assembly, and EV/eVTOL aerospace systems.
  • Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification.
  • Experience developing automated inspection equipment and working with SQL, VBA, or Python.
