Senior Failure Analysis Engineer (SSD)

Location: Onsite at the Penang SDSM Office in Batu Kawan, Malaysia

hirify.global develops and manufactures Flash memory and advanced memory technology products for global data and storage applications.

What you will do

• Perform failure analysis on hirify.global products to improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with NAND, firmware, systems, ASIC, and other engineering groups.
• Evaluate electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems, integrated circuits, components, and sub-components.
• Determine failure causes and verify analog and digital performance.
• Analyze failure reports, recommend corrective actions, and develop improved analysis methods, procedures, and equipment.
• Manage laboratory activities and coordinate with factory teams.

Requirements

• BS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SSD systems.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, including developing scripts from scratch.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• MS degree in a related field.
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with SSD system architecture, including NAND Flash subsystems and power control circuitry.
