What you will do

  • Localise, image, and characterise manufacturing defects in semiconductor products.
  • Use fault localisation and imaging tools including SEM, TEM, EDX, FIB, and SEM-based nanoprober systems.
  • Interpret electrical failure analysis data and determine appropriate physical failure analysis plans.
  • Document findings in professional reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Customer Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, and other failure analysis laboratories.
  • Investigate manufacturing processes and identify defect root causes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Materials Engineering.
  • Suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with no more than two years of work experience.
  • Basic technical knowledge of semiconductor physics and MOSFET operation.
  • Knowledge of common computer software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with chemicals, X-ray equipment, and electron and ion beam tools.
  • Comfort handling small and delicate samples with tweezers.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a laboratory, wafer fabrication facility, or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SEM, TEM, or FIB beam tools.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis process flows and techniques.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including wafer fabrication and assembly.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and timely delivery skills.
