What you will do

• Provide mechanical subject matter expertise for new campus design, capital projects, site acceptance, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident recovery.
• Review drawings, contract documents, equipment specifications, operational requirements, and customer requirements for mechanical systems.
• Develop operational standards, business continuity plans, runbooks, maintenance practices, and incident management procedures.
• Lead performance analytics, equipment failure analysis, root cause analysis, incident deep-dives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and deliver training, drills, and monitored evolutions for operations personnel while mentoring high-potential employees.
• Evaluate new technologies and sustainable practices while supporting senior leadership, customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant mechanical industry or mechanical trade-level experience, or a related bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced ability to interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Experience analyzing critical infrastructure sequences of operation, design parameters, alarms, indicators, and performance trends.
• Experience across the data center operations lifecycle, including design, acceptance, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and event management.
• Ability to create operational standards and programs, communicate complex technical topics, and provide strong customer service.
• Ability to travel up to 30% and work in environments involving mechanical equipment, wet or humid conditions, elevated locations, outdoor weather, and occasional lifting of more than 50 pounds.
