AI Architect (Platform Architect)

Location: Remote in the United States, Canada, or Mexico; strong preference for candidates in the United States

Salary: United States annual salary of $280,500–$330,000 depending on location; Canada annual salary of CAD$283,000–CAD$310,000; Mexico annual salary of MX$2,415,000

What you will do

• Define and evolve architecture standards, patterns, and tooling for AI adoption across engineering.
• Own execution of the AI-native transformation roadmap across primary and secondary repositories.
• Decide which AI tooling, agent infrastructure, and evaluation pipelines are needed, and build or oversee their development.
• Establish technical controls for human-in-the-loop review and safe autonomous actions such as pull request review and deployment.
• Author and enforce conventions for AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, AI-generated code reviews, and evaluation standards.
• Influence squad leads and engineering teams through technical authority, hands-on work, and clear communication rather than direct management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including several years at staff, principal, or higher level.
• Deep hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic systems.
• Experience architecting or evolving a large, mature monolith or multi-service codebase.
• Recent software delivery experience and credibility with senior engineers.
• Experience authoring technical standards, conventions, review norms, or architectural guardrails that teams adopted.
• Professional-level English is required; resumes and application responses must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Experience leading an AI or developer-productivity transformation at a similar-scale engineering organization.
• Experience building or operating evaluation pipelines for AI systems.
