Applied AI Architect (National Security)

Location: Washington, DC; hybrid policy requires staff to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time. The role supports frequent travel to customer sites.

Annual compensation: $275,000–$315,000 USD OTE, including base salary and target sales commissions or bonuses.

What you will do

• Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate business objectives into technical solutions.
• Advise national security and defense customers throughout Claude adoption, from technical discovery and evaluation through deployment.
• Support implementations using Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise.
• Design scalable cloud architectures and guide integration with existing enterprise technology stacks.
• Create technical content for executives, engineering teams, and IT stakeholders.
• Help customers develop evaluation frameworks and share integration patterns with Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are required.
• Prior experience working with U.S. national security, defense, or intelligence agencies is required.
• 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
• Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder buying cycles and communicating with executives, engineering, and IT teams.
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with Python, LLM frameworks and tools, machine learning, or data science.
