CAD Engineer (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Support and maintain CAD and EDA tools used by IC designers, including Synopsys, Cadence, simulation, and Verilog/SystemVerilog tools.
• Maintain CAD libraries and databases and develop infrastructure for new semiconductor process technologies.
• Automate design workflows using Python, Perl, Tcl, and Cadence SKILL.
• Evaluate tools with vendors, troubleshoot bugs, and improve usability and design flows.
• Assist users and design engineers with technical CAD issues and explain complex concepts clearly.
• Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in CAD design, preferably with advanced process technologies.
• Experience with EDA tools such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics.
• Programming experience with Python, Tcl, Cadence SKILL, and Perl.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems, DevOps practices, Jenkins, Git, and version control.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills, with knowledge of semiconductor design standards and regulations.
