Manager, Software Engineering

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; hybrid attendance required at least 3 days per week, ideally Tuesday–Thursday. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Base pay range: $150,000–$200,000 annually for Seattle, New York, Colorado, and California locations; compensation may vary based on experience and internal factors. Annual bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of four software engineers and two testing engineers.
• Manage development of a lead matching system that integrates with Salesforce and in-house applications.
• Partner with engineers, architects, Product, Design, Analytics, Marketing, Data, Operations, and business stakeholders.
• Guide scalable, secure, maintainable software architecture and technical decision-making.
• Drive delivery of complex software projects from concept through production.
• Improve code quality, automated testing, observability, reliability, security, cloud adoption, and platform modernization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years leading engineering teams with direct people-management responsibilities.
• Experience delivering distributed, cloud-based applications in production.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, modern development practices, and Agile environments.
• Proven cross-functional leadership, stakeholder influence, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building consumer-facing digital products at scale.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with modern web technologies and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience leading teams using Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, or similar technologies.
