What you will do
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research with technical users such as aerospace engineers, marine surveyors, and autonomous vehicle operators.
- Translate complex mission workflows, telemetry requirements, and technical constraints into user journeys, personas, and task flows.
- Design desktop, web, and specialized field interfaces for high-frequency data, 3D spatial environments, and system alerts.
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups, then validate concepts through usability testing and field data.
- Contribute to a unified design system and component libraries across software products and hardware utility tools.
- Collaborate with engineers and Product Managers to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with the product roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably with complex B2B desktop or web software, data-heavy dashboards, industrial control systems, or SaaS products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a structured design process, technical problem-solving, visual hierarchy, and interactive prototypes.
- Expert proficiency in Figma and experience managing component libraries or design systems.
- Ability to organize dense information architectures and simplify charts, graphs, 3D mapping fields, and live telemetry data.
- Strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and empathy for operators working in high-stress, safety-critical environments.
Nice to have
- Understanding of HTML/CSS, React, or Qt/C++ to communicate effectively with software engineers.
- Curiosity about robotics, AI, GNSS, IMU, and LiDAR technologies.
