Revenue Accounting - Senior Associate (Financial Services)

Location: New York, New York; hybrid model with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 base salary for candidates located in New York, New York, plus performance bonus.

What you will do

• Own monthly revenue close activities across multiple entities, including accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Review customer contracts and ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606.
• Oversee billing for management fees, placement fees, and platform revenue across subsidiaries and business lines.
• Monitor incoming payments, aging reports, overdue balances, and accounts receivable discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate AR and GL records and support month-end close, year-end close, and annual audits.
• Optimize BillingPlatform and improve billing, revenue automation, and internal control processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in revenue operations, billing, or accounts receivable within financial services.
• Experience with revenue recognition, contract review, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted tools and sound judgment in their day-to-day use.
• CPA certification, experience with NetSuite and BillingPlatform, and alternative investment experience are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience at a hedge fund, private equity firm, fund administrator, or alternative investment platform.
• Experience in a small to mid-sized firm or startup environment.
• CPA certification or experience with similar revenue automation tools.
