Senior AR & Billing Analyst

Location: On-site five days per week in McLean, Virginia; Mountain View, California; or New York, New York, United States.

Salary: $105,251–$155,282 USD annual base salary, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day collections, cash application, customer relationships, and escalations for complex or disputed accounts.
• Prepare AR aging schedules, analyze aging trends, support CECL reserve analysis, and prepare bad debt and AR-related journal entries.
• Reconcile the AR sub-ledger to the general ledger and manage the affiliate revenue commission process end to end.
• Support invoicing, client account updates, and billing record maintenance in NetSuite.
• Develop scalable billing and collections policies, playbooks, escalation paths, and automated workflows.
• Partner with revenue and controllership leadership on systems implementations, month-end close, reporting, audits, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including accounts receivable, collections, or revenue accounting.
• Experience leading credit and collections teams in a high-growth or enterprise SaaS environment, including managing other managers.
• Experience driving automation across credit and collections workflows with measurable efficiency, coverage, or DSO improvements.
• Knowledge of commercial credit risk assessment, credit reporting tools such as D&B and Experian, financial statement analysis, and advanced Excel or Google Sheets use.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, confidentiality, and process-building skills.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP concepts relevant to receivables, including CECL/ASC 326, is preferred; NetSuite and Salesforce experience is also preferred.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA.
