Senior Engineering Manager (React/.NET/Azure)

Location: Hybrid, based out of the Columbus, Ohio office; priority given to candidates residing in the Columbus metropolitan area.

Base pay: $133,500–$222,500 annually, with potential additional bonus or long-term incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead the FastAuth engineering team and own delivery, team health, and technical direction across multiple workstreams.
• Set priorities, manage delivery cadences within SAFe, including PI planning, and use flow metrics to improve predictability and throughput.
• Guide design discussions across TypeScript, React, .NET, Azure, and event-driven architecture.
• Build alignment across engineering, product, design, quality, architects, staff engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Hire, retain, coach, and develop engineers while managing performance, team structure, and headcount planning.
• Drive inclusion, psychological safety, clear communication, and effective decision-making through change and ambiguity.

Requirements

• 4+ years leading software engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant professional experience, plus a degree or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience delivering multiple concurrent workstreams with measurable business impact.
• Technical foundation in modern web stacks and cloud platforms, ideally TypeScript, React, .NET, and Azure.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, SAFe or equivalent scaled agile practices, and delivery health metrics.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future; candidates must already have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Healthcare applications, EHR integrations, prior authorization, pharmacy, or payer-domain experience.
• FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and healthcare data exchange experience.
• Experience leading people managers, building a leadership bench, or scaling teams through growth, transition, or restructuring.
• Contributions to engineering communities of practice.
