Business Operations Associate (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada, or relocation to the area; five days per week in the office

Expected annual compensation: CA$60,000–CA$110,000

What you will do

• Own operational workflows covering loan application processing, underwriting, diligence, and servicing.
• Maintain accurate, consistently updated, and audit-ready systems.
• Create and refine SOPs, dashboards, and internal tools to improve productivity.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous process improvement.
• Coordinate with credit, finance, and product teams to move applications from intake to decision.
• Support high-priority special projects with senior leaders.

Requirements

• Must reside in Toronto or be open to relocating to the area and working in the office five days per week.
• 1–3 years of experience in business operations, consulting, finance, or a similarly demanding environment.
• Education in banking, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Strong organization, communication, ownership, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-first mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Skills in data analysis, programming, mathematics, or another technical field.
• Experience founding a startup or initiative, working in an early-stage or growth-stage startup, or demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership.
