Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at hirify.global headquarters

Salary: $95,000–$130,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Develop printing parameters for metallic alloys using directed energy deposition, hybrid, monolithic, and graded-alloy methods.
  • Create new and improve existing print programs while supporting daily additive manufacturing operations.
  • Work with downstream functions to ensure printed geometries can be effectively post-processed.
  • Provide technical feedback during design for additive manufacturing and explain DfAM requirements.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers on additive manufacturing solutions and deliverables for internal leadership and investors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing of metallic materials; Engineer II candidates need 2+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency with DfAM fundamentals.
  • Experience modeling in Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
  • Experience with CAM programming in Siemens NX or Mastercam.
  • For work in U.S. offices, eligibility under U.S. Government ITAR export regulations is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or applicable authorization.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in material science, additive manufacturing, or a relevant engineering field.
  • 3+ years of additive manufacturing process development experience.
  • Experience with LP-DED platforms or robotic programming.
  • Ability to create concise technical presentations and solve complex problems independently.
