Senior Product Engineer, Additive - Aerospace & Defense

Annual base salary: $106,500–$146,400

What you will do

• Evaluate customer designs and provide Design for Additive Manufacturing feedback.
• Lead new product introduction and continuous improvement for aerospace and defense parts.
• Own print setup and printing process development, including materials properties, simulation, layout optimization, support structures, and stock additions.
• Define manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions, specifications, models, drawings, and quality documentation.
• Partner with product and quality teams to align processing intent, inspection methods, and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot printing processes and support production problem-solving under configuration control.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on product or applications development experience in LPBF or a similar additive manufacturing technology.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Expert proficiency in advanced 3D CAD and build-preparation tools such as Siemens NX, Creo, SolidWorks, Magics, nTopology, or Amphyon.
• Deep expertise in GD&T, statistical process capability, tolerance stack-up analysis, and complex DFM/DfAM constraints.
• Experience with ERP systems in batch manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of subtractive manufacturing, including 5-axis milling, turning, and EDM, and its integration with additive workflows.
