Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. ITAR eligibility is required: candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
Salary: $100,000–$160,000 per year, with potential stock options and benefits for full-time hires.

What you will do
- Develop the next iterations of additive-manufactured propulsion hardware with design, analysis, materials, responsible, and manufacturing engineers.
- Operate, optimize, troubleshoot, and calibrate additive platforms while coordinating improvements with OEMs.
- Improve printer robustness and repeatability using machine-issue analysis, failed-build investigations, sensor monitoring, and in-process data acquisition.
- Develop additive processes and materials, laser-parameter strategies, manufacturing procedures, quality verifications, reports, and manuals.
- Support proof, leak, flow, and fit testing for additive hardware verification and validation.
- Manage the manufacturing process from additive production through test hand-off.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, welding, aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of hands-on manufacturing-environment experience.
- Experience with design for manufacturability in additive and traditional manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of thermal and structural fundamentals as applied to metallic materials.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements for work on U.S. Government space technology.
Nice to have
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with additive machines, especially printing aerospace parts.
- Industrial or developmental additive manufacturing experience with metallic materials.
- Experience creating multifactorial design-of-experiments studies and processing associated data.
- Experience developing laser parameters for productivity and feature quality.
- Experience optimizing additively manufactured bladed components such as turbines, blisks, or impellers.
