IT Project Manager, AI

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; based at the corporate headquarters with 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, company events, and occasional travel are required.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Plan and drive execution of the IT portfolio and roadmap using Agile principles and frameworks.
• Provide AI project management expertise and identify opportunities for predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and generative AI assistants.
• Lead project status meetings, track risks, coordinate resolutions, and maintain transparent stakeholder communication.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, status reports, dashboards, and decision-support materials from incomplete or ambiguous data.
• Facilitate quarterly PI Planning sessions, prioritize backlogs, and support continuous improvement through retrospectives and best-practice sharing.
• Implement quality assurance measures and help scale IT project management functions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably in a PMO or technology-driven organization.
• Practical experience with AI-driven project management, native AI capabilities, emerging technologies, automation, and ethical AI use.
• Experience facilitating PI Planning, managing Agile backlogs, and applying Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, DevOps, or Lean practices.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, negotiation, and executive reporting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft applications, PowerPoint, Excel, and reporting dashboards.

Nice to have

• Automotive or manufacturing industry experience, especially automotive/EV programs.
• Experience with hardware-software integrated products or large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of automotive IT standards, regulatory requirements, risk management, governance structures, portfolio dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
• Experience pragmatically combining stage-gate with Agile and Lean practices.
