Senior Project Manager (Automation)

Location: USA remote with travel; candidates should be in the Eastern or Central time zone. Up to 60% travel is required, including extended work at customer installation locations. Approximately 75% of site time is spent on construction sites.

Salary: $125,000–$171,600 base annually, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Own project delivery, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, and system acceptance objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams through site preparation, installation, commissioning, and final system acceptance.
• Coordinate engineering, supply chain, quality, installation, commissioning, suppliers, contractors, customers, and executive stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities to support on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Facilitate project meetings, communicate progress, and drive timely decisions and accountability.
• Improve project processes, standards, and communication practices.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Eastern or Central time zone.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience managing large automation, material handling, or construction projects.
• Expertise in scheduling, scope, cost, risk management, and data-driven performance tracking for complex technical projects.
• Experience with design/build, installation, construction, stakeholder management, and delivery within budget and schedule.
• Proficiency with scheduling software, earned value management, and tools such as Smartsheet or Jira; willingness to travel up to 60%.

Nice to have

• Background in robotic automation, ASRS, or material handling.
• Ability to provide technical insight during design and process discussions.
