Senior Director, People Relations and Workplace Practices (Medtech)

What you will do

• Design and govern global people relations, workplace practices, investigations, accommodations, leave, discipline, restructuring, and workforce-reduction processes.
• Develop dashboards, analytics, reporting tools, predictive models, and actionable workforce risk insights for HR and business leaders.
• Identify compliance hotspots, repeat-offender patterns, systemic issues, root causes, and attrition drivers across regions and workforce segments.
• Conduct audits and assessments covering wage and hour compliance, contingent labor classification, leave administration, accommodations, background checks, and related regulatory requirements.
• Lead AI-enabled case intake, triage, documentation, decision support, self-service resources, and the implementation of a new people relations management system.
• Establish governance standards, quality assurance, knowledge management, policy controls, and continuous improvement across global programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 15 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years in people relations, employee relations, workplace practices, or HR compliance.
• Experience safeguarding confidential and sensitive information and handling HR compliance or employee relations matters in at least one global region outside the United States and Canada.
• Strong leadership, influence, change-management, coaching, judgment, and business-acumen skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with management and influence senior-leader decision-making.

Nice to have

• Seven or more years of experience in people relations, employee relations, workplace practices, or HR compliance.
• Experience across Latin America, Europe/Africa/Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
• Experience in medtech, medical devices, or another highly regulated industry.
• Federal contractor experience and exposure to AAP and OFCCP compliance.
